HR Highways :)

Dear Friends, We often hear of the saying “It’s either my way or the highway” How about the HRs who ‘fight’ this everyday with the people around them at their workplace. Be it the management or the employees, HRs are meant to be the mediator who are expected to be those ‘super humans’ to bridge the gap between them and come out ruling over it. Yet, the credit goes to the ‘Big Bosses’ Well I give them the credit too. They are the ones who support the set-up of the HR too ! How many of us feel that the so called ‘best practices’ are already implemented and yet we have a certain few who still feel ‘not-so-satisfied’ with the policies and the benefits provided to them? Most of us do but it’s just that it takes time for all of us to ‘accept’ that. We are all meant to ‘face’ these never ending challenges and become the solution providers. It is with great pleasure that I now feel satisfied of the fact that gone are those days when HR was just considered an execution wing of the s...

Kandivali Lakeside :)

Reason to Smile: It is so good to 'see' the real happiness in someone rather than reading those happiness quotes and admiring them. Yes, For me it is important to feel it and share it than just quote it :) Sharing it is an altogether different excitement one feels while doing it so. One such friend I met during the weekend and I could see his excitement of the investment he has made in his life. He bought a house for himself after a long struggle. Indeed, no big deal these days. But for him it meant everything and I could feel it in his gesture, his voice, his body language, the way he showed me around, it said it all. To own a house in a city like Mumbai is a dream for many. I always find such people lucky who are able to gather guts and enjoy the investment in this lifetime :) Yes, he bought a flat at Kandivali and while he took me around his area, he told me he has figured out some lakeside place which in monsoons seems very pretty. We surely thought we should just ch...

Reason to Smile: Its true when they say one needs to unwind oneself once in a while. When I look back to check if I have done that or no, I only feel so contented that its not only been once in a while but has remained consistent for the past 4 years now ! Cheers to the travel diaries / online blogs that I have been trying to maintain & share :) To the loveliest places in town, my weekend couldn't get better. A lavish lunch at Kobez, then a long talkative drive to the serene and peaceful Pelhar Dam (now one of my favorite destinations around town) and then back to the crowded city for a nice evening at Bandstand. With Mayuri's new phone on the block, the selfies just wouldn't stop ;) I don't think I could have asked for more with people who not only have been around to 'roam around' but stood by me through good and very good days ;) :P Arghya, Samruddhi (the new brat in the group now), Mayuri - Thanks for making up for the weekend :) Bhavik - We missed ...
