Reason to Smile: Holi, the festival of colours to celebrate eternal and divine love is usually spent with family and friends across India. People literally paint you with different colours and one can't deny! This time it fell on an extended weekend so some of us who don't like to play the crazy way decided to push off some place where we remain isolated and no one will then bother us. So a few of us who do not play Holi the dirty way skipped the beat of the occasion and wandered off to Malshej Ghats. Hemant fueled up his car and all of us just jumped off to the evergreen idea of Camping at Malshej. Rohan joined us on his bike ride and that's how our journey began. We literally drove off biding adieu to the city ! What happened next is another level of an event full of surprises again..

We reached Malshej and hunted for the base till late evening. By 7.30 pm we set up our tents and were ready to prepare food. Ritu, Me and Hemant got on to the traditional kitchen with vessels and meal items whereas Rohan, Supreet and Keval got busy fishing some woods for us to keep the fire going. While the temperature dipped badly as the night dawned, our Yippie noodles were ready to be hogged on to! We were up for a super surprise because all we were missing out was for some loud music there to dance on and what next - there we see Rohan coming up with small portable speakers ! We danced to all sorts of music with extremely innovative steps lead by our very own Rohan Dhulla, who pretty much seemed down and out with those apple juices he slurpped on. We all were singing and dancing as if we have been injected high on drugs or alchohol. LOL :D

So, once we all realised that our legs are shouting us to stop and take a break, we broke down exhausted for card games to begin ! Yes, some of us played a bit of a gamble with those card games (Teen Patti) and the moment some of us were empty pockets, we decided to call it a night ;) I won some of those coins though :P
The morning began with a beautiful sunrise with the backdrop of magnanimous mountains to greet us and so it was obvious all of us got busy with the selfies, groupies and giving poses for DSLR clicks by Ritu :P I hope we get the pics soon now ! The clicks took a sudden halt. We did not know why untill we saw a bag of colors propped up in front of us that Rohan had got to play Holi ! And we thought we camped out there to avoid the same segment of the ocassion. LOL :D So, there was no looking back then. We all played dry holi for sometime and took a nice dip in those chilling waters of the Malshej backwaters ! We enjoyed the dip like anything only to realise that we came out of the waters totally shivering to cold to the core ! Haha. It was good fun and ironical that while we die to feel this cold here in our cities, it was the other way round there. We were looking for the sunshine to give us some hot shots ! LOL :D

We winded up then and headed back to the city. Took some halts here and there on the lovely, curvy road for some pics and breakfast. Reached back by 4pm and started sharing the pics on our whatsapp groups. Now I am also sharing them on FB :)
Do check and Keep Smiling :)
