KGAF 2015 :)



Reason to Smile:  The Kala Ghoda Art Fest 2015 is in town and there comes by the plans for all those who wish to spend the weekend outside for something new :)
The schedule is always displayed online for all the so called 'Art lovers' and those who wish to check out whats in store for them this year :) Right from plays, to music concerts, to theatre, drama, stand up comedy, the art displays by various groups, institutions, colleges, etc; the KGAF has it all. It indeed targets almost all sections of the society in its own charming way with all such events lined up for 9 days in one go ! It surely caters to a very large target audience not missing any age groups. Yes, the KGAF schedule is formed in such a way that for all 9 days, it can entertain right from children to adults. This is one of the only events in town that brings together all; for it showcases the art that magnificent and huge.

The art displays this time has covered lot many aspects of the essence of Mumbai and the flavors it offers to the people outside. The use of a cart wheel, gunny bags, dust bins, the tyres, the paper work, the work on alarm clocks, the painted old home door, etc to make things that can creatively give you a high indeed is what the art fest is all about :)

Honnavar :)

Reason to Smile: The lush green views, the rice and wheat plantations, the foggy mountains, the wet silver curvy roads and we 3 girls on a road trip. It all begins with this thought and check where we land up :) Honnavar - One small city in Karnataka, very close to Kumta, Gokarna, Murudeshwara Temple and many more such popular places. We headed straight to Madhu's native where her uncle lived. Her Mamaji, as we all affectionately called him, greeted us and was very strict about maintaining the schedule of our trip, for he was our official guide to take us to umpteen places around for sight seeing. Kugaon Fort + Palasdeo Temple :)

Reason to Smile: The movie made its roar in the Marathi film industry with all new faces as very sensitive and challenging characters as their debut. I have only heard about the movie and its feel shot at the backdrop of scenic adventure beautified by Kugav Fort near Solapur. I had seen them too in some of their promos on TV. While it looked exuberantly vibrant and beautiful, it was time to see whether it gives the same impact in real lights too ;) So without a doubt, there are number of nature lovers like me who had the same thought running on their minds. Ironically the place becomes just more popular only because its got highlighted in some movie. Or else Kugaon Fort was always there - just that it got visible to the public eye after 56 years of its existence !! Because all this while it was submerged under the crystal clear waters of River Bhima of Kugaon Village. It has significantly no traces of its charm on the web. So, it was surely not google this time to locate the place....
