Grapes Stomping :)

Reason to Smile: After having the reactions I have faced from people on the "Budgets" and Leonardo DiCaprio winning the Oscars for the first time, its time I settle down to write on something very minuscule and not that makes "news" to others but me :P
Surely, while DiCaprio doesn't want to take the planet for granted, the alcoholic gang with me took it for granted that they get some nice place to chill out on a Sunday evening without any special damages  :P

Sula Vineyards -  A beautiful, secluded place at Nasik and about 150 km away from Mumbai had springs of grapes stomping sessions that are used to make fine wines. A drive way through the curvy roads to Sula, we ended up reaching 2 hrs before from the estimated time of about 3-4 hrs early morning. We all reached (Me, Nitin, Dhara and Aayushi) and we were expected to wait for Alok who was excited to visit Sula and had to join us from Pune. He had started early too and was expected in 4 hrs too. Since we reached early, we waited. And we waited a little more. And then we waited for some more time. And then while we were waiting at this beautiful dining area called 'Beyond' with some Red wine and food, we literally waited 'beyond' our time set for the tour at Sula !

9.45 Am we reached Sula. Alok was expected by 11 AM. Every call we made to him after 11 am to check how close he is to us, we would only hear 10 km as an answer :P Finally he made it by 2.00 PM ! And the wait was over - with Bruschetta, Patato Wedges, Onion rings, Chocolate Lava cake with ice cream and then the hatrick plunge we all took on chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce :P Yes, every time we called Alok to check where he has reached with the same answer, we would immediately order for chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce which would take atleast 20 mins to reach our taste buds :P So yes, we ordered it thrice and ate it too ! :P

Grapes stomping is an experience more felt fulfilling if it was as loud and wild as its shown in movies and films. But it was good to feel the soft black grapes squish between the feet and to stomp on the precious grapes to see what its like to make a grape juice or wine. Done for enjoyment and entertainment, one gets to understand how wine was once made before mechanization and how the tradition became so important for those who sought this desirable beverage :)

What - A - Happy Sunday ! Some pics on FB :) Keep Smiling :)
