Kasol Trip :)
Reason to Smile: The only thought of sitting at the white water river bank with only peace and serenity as your company could give me goose bumps assuming it only happens in Hindi movies !! :P
I always wondered if it could be for real. That music plays to your soul, and that you feel equally romantic and just sway away with mere positivism to rely on !
And then I could never imagine it could all happen to me :) The face glows; The memories are re-visited of the times that were good and funny; The smile is just glued to your face; All at once like a slide show of some presentation.. LOLz !! :D
You surely wanna know the one beautiful place. This happened to me at Kasol, Himachal Pradesh (Kullu District). I would though give this a second position (after Ladakh) for its immense natural beauty and warmth that the 'cold' weather offers ;) One can only dream about feeling cold and cozy in this hot summers and here was I all by myself feeling the chills at the banks of Parvati Valley ! :)
We joined a group called The Nomadic Wanderers who had organised this trip to Kasol. Indeed all 12 of us kept up to the name "wanderers" when it came to eating, hogging and literally getting ourselves a 'high' on the lowest of the temperatures :P
Kasol, A hike to Malana Village, Chalal, A visit to Tosh Village, Waterfalls, Streams, River Valleys, Mystic Meadows, A long drive to Prashar Lake and Temple, Manikaran Hot water Springs, Jantar Mantar & Ugrasen Ki Baoli at the smoking hot Delhi; and the umpteen clicks of those endless "bridges" that gap the distance between the mind and the soul :D Surely Kasol is a paradise for nature lovers and photo lovers. The scenic beauty just doesn't stop mesmerizing you. It is so full of life and love that one cannot lay their eyes off from the white snow clad mountains and the crystal clear water that flows at the Parvati Valley !
I totally felt hugged when I lay down at the lush green grasses that looked as if someone has spread a quilt of pure love. This was in the jungles towards Grahan village. The long trees are as if there to protect you and shadow you from the pain and sorrows. The small kisses of the wind can only make you sleep for time immortal :)
Chalal to me was the best. The endless jungle walk to the village with the river flowing exactly by your side is eternal bliss ! :)
Prashar Lake and the temple is about 4 hrs drive from Kasol. It just crosses one mountain to the other with all the twists and turns on the go :P The best part of the place is that there is absolutely nothing except the lake and the temple at the hill top ! It looks amazing and wonderfully beautiful that one feels awestruck with the green land and the clear blue skies around the lake. Just a small glimpse of it can make you go gaga over it !
And then we are welcomed with the airport fiasco. The Delhi Terminal 1 D does not facilitate the storing of the luggage as they don't have any cloak room ! We arrived early morning to Delhi from Kasol and had to run pillars to post (Between Terminals 1 & 3) just to ensure our luggage is stored safe for the 6 hrs gap we had to fill before our take off to Mumbai. The smoking hot delhi could only make us survive till we visited Jantar Mantar and Ugrasen ki Baoli. The temperatures were soaring at 47 degrees and we had no stamina left to even think of visiting any other place :(
For those who think that Delhi airports have a cloak room, please ensure you do not land up wasting as much time as we did by jumping between terminals. The cloak room is only at Terminal 3 - International Departures !! Store your bags at a nominal cost and enjoy a baggage-free trip in Delhi :)
All in all a wonderful nature ride to the world of peace and tranquility - Kasol :)
