Dahanu + Rajpipla Trip 2017 :)

It's fine to work towards your future goals, but don't forget that today will never come again. You have only twenty-four hours to enjoy it. We tend to ignore this fact royally as if we were to live a thousand years more. Life has its own twists and turns and who better than me to experience this. But if I keep cribbing about all the sad part or the situations I did not have any control on, I am missing out on what's happening right now. It is indeed rightly said that Life is what happens to you, when you are busy looking at something else!
It has not been so often these days since a couple of months that I stepped out for a weekend trip either. So when some friends called in for a weekend getaway to Dahanu, I surely got excited. Not that I needed any kinda break, but I surely did not see what is coming my way! Fun unlimited :)
It is unbelievable how things just fell into place for this trip to work. I started from Mumbai to Dahanu on Saturday evening to meet some friends who started from Gujarat and reached there by 9pm. I managed to wait for about 30 mins for them because all thanks to the 'local train' that managed to make me reach before time ! These guys got delayed due to rains. Yeah, well they wanted a road trip and in monsoons that's indeed the best way to enjoy on those highways and hills.

What shocked me next is my own reaction to an offer that I could not refuse. We packed up, and decided to check out by noon so that these guys could drop me at the railway station after we have lunch outside. We followed these instructions religiously till I was informed that Rajpipla (a place in Gujarat where my friends came from) is a place far more beautiful with scenic locations and drives especially in monsoons! This fell in my ears when I was praising long enough on the route and the roads of the hill top at Dahanu. I immediately had Shailesh repart saying "If you are going gaga over these roads, then you should visit our site at Rajpipla which is very close to Narmada Dam"

"Aing..! Where did this come from?" I exclaimed. "Yes" he said. "Why don't you actually join us back today itself. The car is heading back with just the 3 of us and we will ensure that you have some good places to see around there and then you can head back home. My bosses aren't there either. All of us can get some good quality time for a day. And. There are plenty of buses and modes of transport that you can avail. What say?!?" I just couldn't believe my ears. I am right there sitting amongst these three gentleman who are making plans to inform the driver NOT to turn back the wheels and carry on straight ahead to Rajpipla! Needless to mention, I chuckled on it and said to all of them "Guys, Lets be serious. You guys don't have to joke all the time!"
And before I knew anything or I could even think of some reaction, the car had hit the Gujarat highway! All I recollect last informing my Mom is that I am not coming home! LOL :D - Well, yes I was almost kidnapped! This made it "The most unplanned or should I say the most spontaneous plan ever that I was a part of" The Exciting and an Adventurous Me jumped to joy! :)

On the other hand, Poicha Neelkanth Dham is equally an enchanting marvel of beauty with a tinge of orange colour as the paint of this huge temple covering a mass area of nearly 4500 sq. feet ! It is absolutely baseless to write anything about this circularly placed temple at the center of the ground. The obviously photogenic place does justify the magnanimity of the temple. There is no marks for guessing that the temple looks amazingly picturesque at night :)

After having visited these places which I would call a Travelers Delight, it was time for me to prepare for my ride back home. An ST bus to Surat, and then a shared cab back to Mumbai is how I fell totally exhausted :P
A time of endless laughter till the time my stomach hurts is what I got after ages on this trip. I never knew that an unplanned kidnap can be so much wanting and tempting for one more to look forward to ;) LOL :D
All in all a fantastic road trip that just fell on my lap while I was just busy moaning when I look at the rainy dewdrops of the home window :) Life happened and smiled with that one call when I was beginning to put my head down to depressing thoughts. Thank you so much guys, you made it wonderful and extremely memorable !
Keep looking for such opportunities and Keep Smiling :)
