Daman :)

Reason to Smile: A road trip to Daman was planned and finalised after a lot of searching for beach side places and lots of friends giving inputs and backing out on it too :P

So we 5 of us drove to Daman on Mayuri's new Celerio :P Nice car Mayuri indeed  :) Fully automatic makes it easier for anyone to drive it seems ;)

Daman as Rohan says is like a Mini Goa. People possibly go there to get drunk as is and then have a chilled out time. That's it. Thankfully our agenda was not exactly that. We did figure out that there are two forts which can be explored and beaches of course.

After having  a heavy breakfast on the way to Daman, we straight headed to check out these forts - Moti Daman and Nani Daman forts. The Nani Daman fort is pretty small as the name suggests and only have a circular fortification to its kitty. Whereas Moti Daman has a huge fortification very well maintained and offers a light house to view; some horizontally lined canons placed at the rear end of the fort; and a huge veranda toward the light house. It has also some govt officials houses and district courts as their major area being occupied with inside the fort ! Infact one can also take the car and drive through these areas inside! While we were on our way out, we got attracted to a Dominic Monastery too ! Wow, what an amazing structure it had and so very well maintained to feel its magnanimity. It indeed looked like a dilapidated Palace preserved and cemented for tourists to enjoy and cherish :) The market area also has a Somnath Temple which one can visit.

Funny part is the moment we landed at Daman, Rohan was all Portugal with all his accent flying here and there. Man, he was hilarious :P

Post that, we headed to the beach in the evening. Had some snacks and breezers (all flavours:P) to be down and out - Literally with the chilled breeze blowing us all away ! ;) The dinner was delicious at Daman Delight. Indeed very delightful ;)

One cannot miss the awesome and mouth watering Parathas we moaned on at Bhagat Tarachand there for breakfast too :P Monish, Rohan, Mayuri and Prasad - I think we should just go to Daman once again only to enjoy those Parathas ! ;)

Some pics on FB uploaded. Keep Smiling :)
