What makes one feel more 'jobless' than actually being one? No. I am not writing any answers here. I am just writing my feelings. Hope you like it. It has come out of mere observations, personal experiences and totally out of being jobless - literally :P
With the so called new word that's coined these days and been so boasted about 'demonetization' - one thing is clear that it has exploded a mixed feelings in all of us. Be it an industry, a local, a farmer, a businessman or a stay put housewife. We all suddenly have pressed the vocal chords in our throats and got talking. All thanks to the 'Modi' gaga, I have those eternal silent friends who spoke on the subject even they knew nothing about it - literally ! Not that all of us know it all anyways, it is just the impact that it surrounds, that get us on the move about it. Apparently, there are people who have got jobless, people who are finding it difficult to run their houses without cash, some old folks who now have to struggle to learn some 'digital' techniques - either on phone or banks, and a lot more. It is obvious that we hit the target to this new terminology. Everyone among-st us is either just going head over heels over the decision or going nuts as to why this had to ever bring so much tensions and troubles for a common man ! Mishaps, deaths, IT raids, the minute by minute updates that flashes as 'breaking news' - confusing enough which one to believe, the post evergreen speeches that normalizes the pulse, the subtle reactions of the public thereafter, etc. everything seems clearly divided in two sections - either it is charming or irritating ! I have been given to understand that it is just this two that needs focus. Really?
Coming back to the point, this is where I feel most people have got jobless ! Nobody seems to care about what's already there. Everyone I see around is only 'busy' blaming the so called 'decision' that's been done and dusted already (including me :P). I know of the markets being slogged, industries shaking up, experts talking endlessly on the predictions of when it can rise above all the odds, but then there is something that needs attention now and that is - TIME. I don't know if we are really thinking about what we used our time before and now what we can do with it. I have heard of companies, global economies slashing and laying off some employees at all positions. Some of us are all now 'jobless'. Employable but not Engaged. All we are worrying surely about is how on earth will this market revive and most importantly when? We all need jobs, quote unquote 'secured jobs' now. However while we all are desperately hunting, we are somewhere unconsciously applying to the same fraternity in the same market who got us jobless ! Its like diving in the same pool that got you drowned a while ago! When I lost my job to the reason I am still searching, I was apprehended with comments like 'why you left?' I eventually got forced to remark "I was asked- what would you choose Suicide or Murder? I chose murder"
And now when I need a job, I am still flabbergasted with how people share their judgement that I have 'printed' good amount of currency after all these years I have worked and so I should not worry at all. Really? Wow. I so wished I had that printing machine now though ! :P
But what becomes important to us at that time is - Who saved you? Who ruined you? Who helped you sail through? What measures are we taking now? Time to re-think on some of our 'clicks' that we ignored to save our jobs? Is it time to re-look at all the things we thought would get us organised, safe and secured? Yes and No.
I know easier said than done. But am sure there are some of us who do feel a bit more easy in these turbulent times and are ready to face this challenging situation with a smile, only because - they don't have heavy liabilities, they don't have EMIs running down their spines, no bank loans, they don't have family responsibilities that has children crying over school fees or old parents suffering from medical ailments. It is nearly killing to imagine surviving on all such dormant tasks without a proper regular full time income ! Some literally can't digest the situation but are still stretching every single bit of it.
Though I now see more people trying to help, trying to find solace, trying to patch up with all the indifference, trying to be empathetic and trying to take a chance, give it a TRY! Ironically the separation of money has got us all more closer with the same 'adversity' as its medium. Its like being the best friend and getting more close with the person who you just got divorced to :P LOL :D
I am not sure what I was trying to convey with all this, but there is one thought that got me hooked over and I just started pouring my feelings.
What if I could rewind my days, would have I done any better anywhere - professionally or personally?
Let's get going and let's get helping :) Happy New Year 2017 !! May you all have a great thought provoking year ahead and find all the answers within YOU !! Take care. God Bless.
