New Year Birthday :)

Reason to Smile: Been a while I dropped in here ! So yes it has been good from some time now. Lots of changes, lots of new things and challenges to encounter :)

New Job, New equations with new people, new environment (very challenging and mysterious though :P ) new reactions discovered to new problems ;) new areas of improvements learnt and also an altogether new feeling of being missed out ! A mixed feeling of dullness and excitement with a pinch of salt :P

The only sail through was, as usual, friends and family who have never missed out on supporting me through tough times. I am truly blessed for sure. It takes a while for me to realize their importance though but when the going gets tough, the tough gets going :) I haven't taken wiser decisions always but yes after taking them, I have surely tried to make them better :P I always tried and hopefully haven't ignored facing problematic areas in my life. It is this courage that probably my friends and family counted me in for when they are always ready to support me.

It is usually this feeling that all of us come together to celebrate happiness, courage, and loyal friendship with 'I am there for you' attitude on festivities. Diwali, New Years and Birthdays wont go unnoticed when all of us have the same mindset of only celebrating 'this' ecstasy :)

I am glad I haven't been an exception to be a party to that. When I did feel low, I did feel lost, I had blissfully the festive season around the corner. With friends and family around you surely feel as if half the problems are solved.  By just merely having a conversation at times that apparently leads nowhere but a sense of relief does make it sail through it.

This Diwali, this birthday and this new years I surely want to thank all of those special people in my life who got me smiling as always :)

My most humble thanks to Mumpy (for writing those whats app messages at the write time - once a good writer always a good one), Mohit (you always give me a good conversation to look back upon), Kamlesh (for being the true friend who is literally just a call away), Manoj, Poonam, Madhurima, Jeanette, Keval, Arjun,Thomas, Rupa & Vivek Das, Amit, Hemant, ( for all the celebrations - they are always incomplete without you guys) Disha, Riyaz, Meghana, (for the being the real SAHARA) Siddharth, Srinivasan, Bhavik, Kunal, (for the endless support) Mayur (for always being the first one to wish me birthdays), Ashish Bhatia (for sharing those abuses to our bosses :P), Ameya Joshi (yes I will meet you someday :P ) Rajith (for the superb birthday gift - Hopefully I shall 'pen' something meaningful for years to come) and last but not the least my utmost heartfelt thanks to Anirban (Dude, I could never find a better friend than you and I mean it)

Needless to mention my Mom and sisters have always remained a big part of what I am able to face courageously and fearlessly today. I am blessed to have them in my life :)

The Diwali bash at Shivaji Park with Travel Trikon gang, the excitement of just being a part of Diwali celebrations at Marine Drive, (we were glad that not much of those crackers made it to the sky this year ) the Chowpatty munching, the endless wait for Vivek and then extending the dinner at my top favourite place - Harbour View till the clock strikes 12 only to know that its my birthday, the early morning visit at Siddhivinayak Temple (not even having slept for a minute the previous night), an exotic lunch with family at Sofitel and ending all this on a good note by a surprise visit by friends at home made it so larger than life and special :)

What was hysterical in this entire thing was a remark by a driver when we booked Uber from Chowpatty to Colaba (ideally should take about 20 mins). He said "Madam do you know the precise fastest route because on google maps it shows 2 hrs 10 mins to reach Colaba!!" All of us jumped to laughter :D

Reason to Smile : The joblessness no matter how critical it may seem doesn't affect my travel life. There is nothing more that I can love about that. This time I got another chance to visit Goa. Honnavar :)

Reason to Smile: The lush green views, the rice and wheat plantations, the foggy mountains, the wet silver curvy roads and we 3 girls on a road trip. It all begins with this thought and check where we land up :) Honnavar - One small city in Karnataka, very close to Kumta, Gokarna, Murudeshwara Temple and many more such popular places. We headed straight to Madhu's native where her uncle lived. Her Mamaji, as we all affectionately called him, greeted us and was very strict about maintaining the schedule of our trip, for he was our official guide to take us to umpteen places around for sight seeing. Kugaon Fort + Palasdeo Temple :)

Reason to Smile: The movie made its roar in the Marathi film industry with all new faces as very sensitive and challenging characters as their debut. I have only heard about the movie and its feel shot at the backdrop of scenic adventure beautified by Kugav Fort near Solapur. I had seen them too in some of their promos on TV. While it looked exuberantly vibrant and beautiful, it was time to see whether it gives the same impact in real lights too ;) So without a doubt, there are number of nature lovers like me who had the same thought running on their minds. Ironically the place becomes just more popular only because its got highlighted in some movie. Or else Kugaon Fort was always there - just that it got visible to the public eye after 56 years of its existence !! Because all this while it was submerged under the crystal clear waters of River Bhima of Kugaon Village. It has significantly no traces of its charm on the web. So, it was surely not google this time to locate the place....
