Oyster Island :)

Reason to Smile: As we start our journey towards Karwar, a place near Karnataka, we have only limited idea of what Oyster Island has in store for us. While all of us are immensely engrossed in having crazy fun during the train time with Mafia and other games, chit chatting, eating and cracking jokes, it is this group of 21 known and unknown people with Travel Trikon who are excited about how and what the 'real time' experience would be at this island, a lot talked about :)

We reached early morning with a delayed schedule of 2 hours. We had to get ready, have breakfast and move towards the island via a boat ride. It is only with Travel Trikon that this could be possibly met on time and turn the tables to be right on schedule to reach the place where the boats were parked. Little did we know how fascinating the entire boat ride would be. All of us jumped to joy when we saw a few dolphins trying to say a hello to us ! We smiled, we wooed, we clapped, and then with all the innumerable clicks and selfies, we almost reached an area with neatly structured square entrance that we could spot from a distance. Highly impressed with the way the entrance was built we then had all our heads down just to encounter the deep green sea with crystal clear shining waters where our faces were seen as our mirror images right at the border of the gate ! :) It was lunch time and all the Biryani Monsters hogged till death :P

Post lunch we gather all the courage to stretch our eyes wide open for a short climb via light house to a descend at our main camping spot ! It must have taken us about 30 mins to reach there and begin with our camping set up. Not that we had to do anything actually, we just had to go further down, swim at the naturally formed pool at the beach bay, have a short trek to the rock island behind the beach, enjoy the sun set, play Mafia games, hear some ghost stories, return to the most sumptuous buffet spread at dinners one can ever enjoy at camps, and what not ! Fish, Chicken, Aloo Mutter, Cabbage, Salads, Cold Drinks, Tea Coffee, Breads, Barbeque, etc. Phew! We could just not resist anything. This has been the most elegant and the most luxurious camping I have ever enjoyed by far ! The cooking team, the camp set up team, the local guides and experts showed us places & spots so scenic that the view from there was just mind boggling. The silence of soul is what I learnt when we all reached at the top of that camping base just to see how elegantly beautiful the sun set can propose ! :)

Back to the Karwar city the next day, we visited the INS Chapal, a war memorial showcasing an inspiring movie that depicts how brave and essential our Indian Navy has been so far. Its an entire ship so huge that has been constructed with a naval museum inside the ship. So warm and serene it was with a sight of a large sea side beach right as a view from the dock of the ship! Fantastically magical :)

To enjoy and cherish this magic, do check out my FB pics uploaded :)

Keep Smiling :)
