Reason to Smile :)

Reason to Smile: Its always a reason to smile when someone else in the entire family is getting married and we have to be a part of it :) My mother feels most excited when such wedding invitation cards drops in at our place. Not because she gets to meet people for the greetings but so that she feels there will be 'one fine day' where she will be on the host side and the wedding bells will ring at our doorstep too !! ;) God alone knows what have they stored in these mother's hearts for such BELLS for their kids ;) Am sure if not all, most of us go through these 'excitement' every now and then from their beloved MOMs ! :) So as it looks like, I was dragged to one such family function - Oh, should I call a wedding reception ?!?! All I feel bored about these functions is that one has to 'dress up' appropriately :-/ Eh ! I for sure feel I am not the right person who understands style or fashion or any such 'girly' stuff at all. :P What a task...

Reason to Smile: Aashish ji, one of my favorite co-trekker's birthday was on Friday and I had to be there to celebrate this occasion. Mayur, my favorite personal photographer (apart from Arpita) invited me for this one. We met, clicked endless profile pictures and hogged on some fine dining at Chowpaty ! ;) :P :D Early Saturday morning and I am off to Bhandardhara Camping with my mates - Tattva Adventures. Bhandardhara is a one of the popular holiday village destinations and is a blend of natural beauty, waterfalls, mountains, tranquility, greenery, invigorating air and pristine ambiance. The Bhandardara Lake is the major attraction situated in the western ghatsb and is about 185 kms from Mumbai. Our bus starts at 9 am from Dadar and we decide to take a halt half way at around 11am. Reason to Smile: Its a weekend time and one has to understand that not all plans succeed. I was about to join a trek and I had to cancel for another reason to smile ;) My cousin was getting engaged and the family function sometimes takes priority over such treks :P I love it when I have to take out 'time' to buy or work on 'time'. Dint get it? I have always been a 'watch' lover (wrist watch I mean ofcourse) and for me its not just any. It has to be BIG ;) Yeah, I like the big dial watches that can look pretty attractive when you wear it and show off ! ;) Nah, I don't buy anything for show off though :P. I just like it that way. Reason to Smile: I was coming back from office and I get a call from a friend. He is celebrating his second anniversary and invites me for dinner. I was so happy for them and feel so blessed that I still get remembered for their happiness. Reason to Smile: I had read a beautiful quote once - Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace. How? Solution? - Go out Shopping !! ;) LOLz . Not always please ;) I have always learnt one thing about how one should live life - Its like a camera. Focus on whats important, capture the good things, develop from the negatives, and if you still feel it did not turn out fine, take another shot ! ;) I am busy practicing this for 3 years now :) And yes, I must admit - Shopping is one of those things that can get me totally stress free from all my negative thinking. By this, I am not promoting any spendthrift activity. Also, for me shopping does not mean entering a mall and buying things that are not even needed or not even worth the money. I only mean - sometimes it helps moving out just to check whether what you are buying is what you really need? Also whether what you bought is really worth the price? Think about it. Reason to Smile: The weekend is empty this time around. So, its invariably family time again. My mother waits for a Saturday when both her daughters are at home and so that she can demand some free lunch outside :P So when she knows I am generally out on weekends, her treat gets skipped - because generally we follow something invariably - if we go, we all go or else no one gets a chance to enjoy :P I have to be considerate sometimes then ;) So, it was my sisters stubborn demand to eat out at Kobe Sizzlers !! Do I even need to think about a yes or a no when it comes to Kobe?!?! ;) Amidst all the food that I have tried and tested, this surely remains my favourite and the best cuisine in the world by far ! ;) I still find it difficult to digest if I have planned for an outing and it gets cancelled for reasons whatsoever :-x But its another charm to replace the plan with something more soothing ;) Some friends whom you can count on anything land up making your weekend special :) T...

Reason to Smile: It is our mind that creates the kind of life we live. We get what we expect to get, therefore, begin right now to expect the very best of everything that this world has to offer - and wish the same for everyone else !! So, what goes on my mind is what I got this weekend too ! A long road trip to Alibaug with some great fun friends makes it all that one counts for on a road trip :) Vivek, Sumit, Jaal, Lawrence, Rohan and Me - packed up to drive to Kaashid Beach, a place 12 Kms from Alibaug. Our accomodation was at Green Valley Hotel - wonderfully located at the beach-side with cottages to savor your living. The place has ample parking, hammocks and swings and an amazing sun rise to your view from any side of your stay ! What's more? - The place can be also utilized for Camping and beach activities !!  Gamblers at Work :P We nicely spotted the place by night and got back to work :P Yes, this time the Gamblers inside ...

Reason to Smile: I was chatting with one of my colony friend and he commented on my health and fitness :P He obviously meant I should join some fitness center to control my weight :P While I could not agree any lesser, I gave him an idea of what I am blessed with and HOW ;) I told him one thing – My birthday was on friday. And I was literally on a birthday vacation till today !! :P He got the idea but insisted I give him details ;) I had some special lunch from home (thankfully) which I could digest at work :P Met Disha who could not go back home without personally wishing me and eating the pastries of my birthday – Worli Sea Face ;) And then Dinner at Pop Tates, Mulund with friends who made it to my place at 12 Mid night to celebrate !! We plan, feel excited about gifts, parties, etc.  Some of us go driving countryside, some of us take an off to work, some just get busy giving thank you notes ! ;) Some are also very focused in making future plans and charting out their goals of who and how they want to become in the next 5 years! I have always realized one thing in life - It is not just about fancy clothing, going to the gym, earning enormous money, great shopping, etc that can buy you happiness. It is only when I can feel the pain of others, become compassionate, drive the positive energy among myself and others, that will keep me satisfied and happy !
